Courses & Workshops

Sign Language Workshops

All our learners learn the alphabet and basic signs in a fun way which helps them to absorb the basics of a new language in a happy immersion environment filled with exciting games, visual aids, role play, and lots of laughs. It also follows the key units from our Signature Deaf Awareness course.

This workshop helps equip all learners with the skills and awareness needed to communicate with Deaf friends and those they may encounter both in their work and everyday life.

Our workshops are also great team building exercises for corporate clients.

All receive a certificate of attendance and each course lasts for approximately three hours.

Deaf Awareness

This fully accredited course encompasses the full range of subjects included in the Signature syllabus with modules on Communication, Language and Culture.

The course can be held over four full days or adapted to your schedule. Learners explore the core subject areas, take part in group work and receive comprehensive support materials to reinforce and enhance the learning experience. Each student also receives a Deaf Awareness Booklet as a revision aid to help them prepare for a twenty minute multiple choice exam.

The course is regulated by Signature (national exam board), and candidates who successfully complete the course receive a nationally recognised certificate of Deaf Awareness.

All learners are assessed by practical exercises. Our trainers possess very high pass rates.

If learners wish to further their studies, after this course they can progress on to our Level 1 in British Sign Language course.
